Runcorn Cricket Club is the town’s only cricket club and provides local people of all ages with the opportunity to play our national summer sport.

We have four senior weekend teams, three of whom play in the Cheshire competitive league structure, and seven junior teams.

In 2013 we celebrated both the Diamond anniversary of Moughland Lane being our home and the 140th anniversary of our fist known game.

Our lovely ground hosts 1st and 2nd and XI Saturday games in the TACS Cheshire League and a fourth ‘friendly’ team on Sundays; plus junior cricket at u18/17/15/13/11 and U9 levels.

Runcorn CC is bench marked as an elite community cricket club. We are proud to have English Cricket Board Clubmark and Focus Club status, which endorses the coaching structure in place, the contribution we make to our wider community; and the assistance we give back to the local schools in providing pupils with their experience of the sport.

In recent seasons we have produced a ladies county player, two boys and one girl play for Cheshire, the Captain of North Cheshire U18 and seven boys who are part of the county pyramid.

To operate our busy, vibrant club takes the hard work and enthusiasm of a dedicated group of people – but it also takes money. Runcorn CC relies on voluntary support and we selfgenerate every penny of income. Some of our biggest costs come from buying equipment, eg, match balls, cricket kit and training equipment for youngsters.

If you could help support cricket in Runcorn, we have a range sponsorship packages for 2021. Click here for detail.
